Watershed Group

The Arcade Creek Watershed Group was formed in 2002 with initial support from the City of Sacramento and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Today, with the continued support from the City and additional support from the CALFED Bay-Delta Program in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, the Arcade Creek Watershed Group is still working hard to support our community. Watershed Group members include local residents, representatives from the cities of Sacramento and Citrus Heights, the county of Sacramento, and other interested stakeholders.

The Arcade Creek Watershed Group's mission is to:

The Watershed Group meets every other month to discuss issues and concerns in the watershed. The Watershed Group is currently working with government agencies to develop a comprehensive Stream Corridor Plan, which will identify improvement projects, increased community education about how we can all protect the watershed, proactive planning, and ongoing stewardship of the creek.
