The Final Draft Stream Corridor Management Plan is now available for review. We especially encourage stakeholders to review the series of maps that accompany the plan. The maps, which were presented at the August 2007 and April 2008 watershed group meetings, show the results of the 2007 field surveys that identified restoration opportunities along the Arcade Creek stream corridor. Although a full survey was conducted of the Arcade and Cripple Creeks stream corridor during the 2007 surveys, stakeholder input is important to make sure that all opportunities have been identified.

This summer Jones & Stokes' geomorphologists and biologists surveyed both Arcade and Cripple creeks, examining the existing geomorphic, vegetative, and aquatic conditions of both corridors. From these observations, a variety of watershed restoration opportunities were identified and recorded and will be used in the development of the Arcade Creek Corridor Plan. Maps and photos of their observations are available on the Arcade Creek Corridor Plan Page. The public is asked to review these materials and identify those restoration opportunities they feel are a priority for their community and/or the Watershed as a whole and e-mail their comments to Danielle Wilson, the Arcade Creek Watershed Coordinator at dwilson@jsanet.com. These comments will be combined with the comments collected at the August, 2007 Watershed Group meeting and will be presented in summary to the Watershed Group at its next meeting.
